The Polish Post Office is opening a new office in Pacanów, the town of the fairy-tale Koziołek Matołek
Pacanów residents can now access all Poczta Polska services in their town at a new post office in the city center. One of the postal operator's priorities is to provide customers with access to a network of branches in attractive locations, where they can take advantage of postal, banking, and insurance services.
Despite the pandemic, Poczta Polska (Polish Post) is fulfilling its obligations to local communities. Postal, banking, and insurance services, as well as cashless transactions via payment cards, will be available at the branch at 11 Rynek Street. The branch is located in a unique location near the statue of Koziołek Matołek, one of the most popular children's comic book characters. The European Fairy Tale Centre named after Koziołek Matołek is also located nearby. These places are frequently visited not only by local residents but also by numerous tourists.
The facility features a modern and user-friendly design, which is being gradually implemented at Poczta Polska branches across the country and is highly appreciated by postal users. Customers will have two convenient counters where they can handle all their needs from the entire Poczta Polska Group, a desk for insurance and banking services, and a retail area.
Customer service will be available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and on Wednesdays from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. At the post office, you will be able to send cards, letters, and parcels, use financial services such as deposits and withdrawals, and purchase stamps. You can also open a free account with Bank Pocztowy, take out a loan, or purchase insurance. The Self-Service Shopping Zone offers a wide selection of items: cards, vouchers, envelopes, packaging, newspapers, books, office supplies, as well as gifts, children's items, and sweets.
There are currently 243 post offices operating in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. In the last three years, new offices have been opened in Kielce, Starachowice, and Jędrzejów. Agency offices are also being systematically opened to adapt the network of offices to customer demand.
In 1993, the Polish Post Office honored the children's comic book hero with a stamp, issuing a philatelic issue titled "Kornel Makuszyński 1884–1953," which featured, among other things, Koziołek Matołek. Today, the stamps have collector value.
