Poczta Polska is launching replacement points and mobile points in areas affected by the disaster.
To ensure citizens have access to essential government services, Poczta Polska is launching replacement postal points for residents of areas affected or at risk of flooding starting September 17. Ultimately, in the coming days, the company plans to launch mobile postal points in flood-prone towns with limited access to financial and postal services. Poczta Polska will provide ongoing information about the locations of these points via its website www.poczta-polska.pl and on social media.
Locations of replacement post offices:
- Wrocław, ul. Łagiewnicka 18 – point for residents of the area at risk of flooding (Osiedle Przedmieście Oławskie, Księże Małe and Wielkie),
- Legnica , ul. Poznańska 50 – point for residents of Złotoryja and Świerzawa,
- Jelenia Góra, ul. Spółdzielcza 43 – for the residents of Jelenia Góra,
- Kłodzko, Objazdowa 14 – for the residents of Kłodzko.
The replacement and mobile postal points will primarily be used for payments and cash withdrawals, as well as for basic services such as mailing letters or parcels. Depending on customer demand, the company will expand the range of services provided. The points will be open from 9:00 a.m., and closing times will be adjusted to meet residents' needs.
Due to the crisis situation, as in the case of other natural disasters, pandemics, and emergencies, Poczta Polska is also launching additional measures to support central and local governments, as well as the company's employees. In consultation with the Government Security Center, it is responding to the most urgent needs related to the distribution of missing products in flooded areas by making its logistics and warehousing capabilities available.
