Poczta Polska will start delivering pensions and annuities earlier during the Christmas and New Year period.

pp_1Before the holidays, postmen will begin delivering pensions earlier, and parcels will also be delivered on December 24th. On Christmas Eve, post offices will serve customers for a shorter period than usual, but will return to standard opening hours on December 27th.

Polish Post employees will deliver pensions and annuities in advance this December. Benefits that were typically delivered on the 25th will be delivered to customers starting on December 22nd. Pension and annuity transfers due on January 1st will be delivered starting on December 29th.

Post offices, couriers, and mail carriers will be open on Christmas Eve, but their hours will be shortened. Postal workers will serve customers for a shorter period on Christmas Eve, and office hours will also be shortened on New Year's Eve. During the holiday season, post offices will be open as follows:

  • December 24, 2020 – branches serve customers until 1:00 p.m., 24/7 until 2:00 p.m.,
  • December 25-26, 2020 – branches are closed,
  • December 27, 2020 – resumption of operation of 24-hour branches and branches serving customers on Sundays (non-trading Sundays),
  • December 31, 2020 – facilities are open until 2:00 p.m., and 24/7 until 6:00 p.m.,
  • January 1, 2021 – facilities are closed.

Offices located in facilities with different operating hours (e.g., ministries, courts, tax offices, municipal offices, shopping centers/malls) will adjust their opening hours to reflect the opening hours of the entities in which they are located.
