Poczta Polska is among Amazon's selected contractors
Poczta Polska has qualified to participate in the program currently being introduced in Poland by Amazon. The company is among a select group of carriers supporting the Amazon Prime service, which will be implemented by Pocztex couriers. The selection of logistics partners for Amazon Prime was based on verification of their compliance with the highest standards of compliance. This is another expansion of Poczta Polska's cooperation with the American e-commerce giant.
One of the pillars of Poczta Polska's new strategy is to increase its share in the CEP (courier, express, and parcel) market. According to the adopted assumptions, the goal is to double the company's revenue from this segment by 2024. Developing cooperation with key e-commerce partners is one of the most important activities undertaken by Poczta Polska in this area of business activity.
Amazon Prime is a subscription service that, for a monthly fee, offers free and fast delivery on millions of products, even next day delivery, with no minimum order value, including home delivery and pickup locations. It also provides access to top-tier entertainment – hundreds of movies and TV series, free PC games, in-game content, and a free monthly Twitch channel subscription. The service also allows you to participate in the annual Prime Day event.
Poczta Polskie's strategy for 2021-2023 assumes the intensive development of courier services. Currently, Poczta Polska's revenues from development areas, which include courier, digital, and logistics services, generate less than 20% of the company's revenues. Traditional business, i.e., paper letters, payments, and postal orders, which are subject to strong e-substitution, currently generate almost four times as much revenue. The implementation of the strategy aims to reverse these proportions – revenues from development areas are expected to predominate by 2024. These changes reflect the scale of the revolution affecting Poczta Polska's business environment and the company itself.
