Poczta Polska introduces letter mail formats
We would like to inform you that the Price List for Universal Postal Services in domestic and international mail will change as of April 1, 2019. The new price list reflects Poczta Polska's approach to letter formats in domestic mail.
A new approach to categorizing letter shipments changes Poczta Polska's offering and halves the price list for domestic letter shipments. This new offering reflects the changing preferences of Poczta Polska customers, who, in the age of online shopping, expect different solutions.
From April, Poczta Polska customers will be able to send letter items in three new formats – S, M, L, which will depend solely on the size of the item and its weight.
In the smallest format, i.e. the S format , customers will be able to send parcels weighing up to 500 g and with a maximum C5 envelope format with a thickness of up to 2 cm.
The medium M format will enable customers to send parcels weighing up to 1,000 g and with a maximum size of a C4 envelope with a thickness of up to 2 cm.
The largest L format is intended for shipments weighing up to 2,000 g and with dimensions: the sum of the length, width and height of the shipment cannot exceed 90 cm, and the largest dimension cannot exceed 60 cm.
The formats described above will apply to unregistered, registered, and declared-value shipments only in domestic traffic. Priority and economy delivery time categories remain unchanged.
The change in the price list for universal services does not apply to international shipments and universal parcels in domestic circulation.
Detailed information about the changes is available in the Price List of Universal Services in Domestic and Foreign Trade, which is available here .
