Poczta Polska is supporting the fight against the pandemic. Postal workers have already answered over 60,000 calls and made donations.

1190-670Over 60,000 calls were answered regarding vaccination registration and informational support during the pandemic – this is the total number of calls handled by the Postal Contact Center staff in cooperation with the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. Poczta Polska is providing free support to the National Vaccination Program hotline and the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate, while the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation has so far allocated nearly 600,000 PLN in donations to medical institutions.

Poczta Polska's involvement in campaigns aimed at counteracting the spread of COVID-19 is multifaceted. In cooperation with the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, the company is co-implementing information and registration activities. Additionally, it is participating in charitable campaigns to combat the pandemic. Since January 2021, specially trained consultants from the Postal Contact Center have been providing support to the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program hotline. For the past four months, they have been registering citizens for vaccinations using the e-patient registration system, remaining available at all times. All this to ensure that Poles can get vaccinated as quickly as possible and gain immunity.

Starting in October 2020, the Polish Post also provides staff to operate the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate's hotline. Consultants provide information on topics such as COVID-related recommendations, quarantine or isolation guidelines, procedures to follow in the event of direct contact with an infected person, guidelines for referrals for COVID-19 testing and procedures to follow in the event of a positive test result, and the possibility of international or domestic travel – which is particularly important now, as Poles begin planning their children's holidays and vacations.

Poczta Polska has delegated consultants from Wieluń and Katowice to carry out the above activities in the field of information and registration services carried out by the Contact Center.

Poczta Polska is also joining the fight against SARS-Cov-19 through donations to medical institutions. The "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation supported a number of institutions fighting the coronavirus epidemic last year and this year. Funds donated by Poczta Polska Group entities and individual donors helped hospitals in need, enabling the purchase of medical equipment that patients will be able to use for years to come. These devices are used both in patient diagnostics and in the treatment process. Recently, the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation donated to purchase cardiac monitors for the Health Care Complex in Chełmno, as well as an ultrasound machine with a needle navigation system and two high-flow nasal oxygen therapy devices for University Hospital No. 2 named after Dr. Jan Biziel in Bydgoszcz. Last year, financial support was provided to several hospitals, as well as to the Regional Blood Donation and Treatment Centre in Białystok, which, thanks to the Foundation's funds, purchased a convalescent plasma analyzer.

To date, the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation has donated nearly PLN 600,000 in donations to medical institutions.

Poczta Polska's further activities to support the fight against SARS-Cov-19 involve the provision of logistics services. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the company has supported the Ministry of Health and the RARS in the distribution of protective equipment and supplies. It provides a range of services, including warehousing, packaging, pallet transport, and parcel services. It delivers to hospitals – including temporary hospitals, voivodeship warehouses, primary healthcare facilities, social welfare homes, blood donation centers, fire brigades, police, the Polish Army, and pharmacies. Poczta Polska has also delivered disinfectants to schools and kindergartens and supports the Home Medical Care program with pulse oximeter logistics.
