Poczta Polska won a tender worth PLN 910 million for the delivery of ZUS benefits
Poczta Polska submitted the most advantageous bid in a public tender for the delivery of social security benefits in cash to a designated address, organized by the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). The contract value, resulting from the tender, is PLN 910 million and its term is four years.
For Poczta Polska, participation in the tender announced by the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) was strategic, given the scope of the contract and the social nature of delivering benefits to pensioners and disability pensioners. In the Tender Specifications, ZUS specified a number of requirements to ensure the security and timeliness of the benefits delivery process. Poczta Polska confirmed compliance with all the requirements specified by the Ordering Party for contractors, including the operator's experience in providing postal money order services.
" Poczta Polska's victory in this tender means that Poles receiving ZUS benefits will be able to continue receiving them in cash, regardless of whether they live in small towns or large cities. Even during the pandemic, Poczta Polska reached all beneficiaries to ensure that retirees and pensioners received their cash on time during this difficult time. Although delivering pensions and disability benefits involves the challenge of distributing a significant amount of cash, Poczta Polska employees understand how crucial it is to deliver the money on time," emphasizes Andrzej Bodziony, Vice President of Poczta Polska.
Last year, Poczta Polska participated in nearly 1,900 tenders for postal services, with a value of nearly PLN 1.7 billion, of which 96.5% were awarded in favor of the operator. It's worth noting that one of the key factors in negotiations with business partners and in procedures organized by public institutions is the efficiency and quality of the company's services.
The agreement between the Social Insurance Institution and Poczta Polska for the delivery of social insurance benefits in cash to the specified address will be valid from September this year for the next 4 years.
