Post offices offer educational publications for the youngest readers, including those on waste sorting and recycling, as well as a wide selection of biodegradable bags, eco-friendly goods, and eco-toys. Interest in eco-friendly products, especially the packaging available in the postal online store, is constantly growing.

Taking care of the planet by implementing environmentally friendly solutions, environmental education, and distributing biodegradable products – these are important elements of Corporate Social Responsibility included in the new strategy of Poczta Polska, in which ecology is one of the pillars.

The Company systematically introduces educational publications on ecological topics to its product offering, distributed through the largest network of post offices in the country.

" It's worth starting environmental education with the basics to fully understand the origins of the phenomena taking place and their impact on climate change. To meet this goal, Poczta Polska is providing a series of publications aimed at the youngest generation of readers, " says Justyna Siwek, spokesperson for Poczta Polska.

The books offered by the company include answers to questions such as "why" and "how" proper waste sorting should be performed, and "what are the characteristics of recycling." At post offices, customers will also find reusable shopping and gift bags made entirely of biodegradable materials, eco-friendly goods, natural cosmetics, and eco-toys.

e-shop for both individual and business customers who prefer online shopping. Letter and parcel envelopes are FSC certified, confirming they are made from recycled materials (meaning they are made without the use of technology harmful to forests, animals, plants, or humans).

An interesting product from the Poczta Polska eShop is the best-selling Skropak in this segment – ​​the only fully biodegradable parcel filler. It is made from starch, which decomposes in the environment very quickly and is completely friendly to the natural ecosystem. Skropak is fully compostable, and the disposal process of this filler does not pollute the environment. Sales volume of this product increased by over 20% between January and May 2021 compared to the same period in 2020.

eShop customers also eagerly choose poly mailers made from biodegradable film. Their sales volume increased by almost 15% compared to the January-May 2020 period. Poczta Polska also offers a wide range of environmentally friendly cardboard packaging, with current sales exceeding 3,000,000 volumes.

The Polish Post's environmental initiatives span many different dimensions, and it's worth mentioning the current ones. Poczta Polska's recently modernized fleet, which includes over 1,000 new delivery vehicles, is a step towards reducing exhaust emissions into the environment. The new delivery vehicles meet the current European Euro 6 standards, which allow for average CO2 emissions of 95 g CO2/km. The company also has electric vehicles at its disposal.
