Poczta Polska is constantly replenishing its protective equipment supplies. The company has just purchased 100,000 blue masks with the company logo for its employees. These reusable products with filter inserts will gradually replace the masks currently in use. The first batch of 50,000 has already been sent to branches, and the second batch, which will distribute another 50,000 pieces of personal protective equipment, will be delivered to employees this week.
"The safety of our customers and postal workers is paramount to us at Poczta Polska. Currently, the company has a supply of protective equipment for this year. We want to be well-prepared for the fall season, hence the decision to purchase new masks with additional filters, which will be used primarily by postmen and security staff. Despite the company's difficult financial situation, we are not skimping on safety and are already preparing to purchase masks, disinfectants, and face shields for next year, " says Andrzej Bodziony, Vice President of the Management Board of Poczta Polska.
The Polish Post Office is constantly replenishing its disposable gloves, purchasing a total of 12.5 million pairs. Furthermore, since the beginning of the pandemic, the postal operator has purchased over a million different types of masks and 820,000 hand sanitizers. These supplies are helping to safely serve customers. Postal workers have also been equipped with over 81,000 face shields.
To increase safety, postal workers remind customers how important it is to maintain proper social distancing and adhere to all sanitary regulations. Customers using services at post offices should not only maintain a safe distance but also wear a face covering.
The company has also taken steps to ensure safety inside its post offices. To date, it has purchased 37,000 pieces of surface disinfectant and installed 5,800 screens in its branches to separate customers from staff. Poczta Polska has already conducted 315 preventive disinfections in its parcel sorting centers, an additional measure by the employer to ensure employee safety.
The company operates transparently, keeping employees up to date on the coronavirus threat and ways to maintain safety.
