Poczta Polska will employ an additional 360 people with disabilities

sorting_office_of_Poland_9_Poczta Polska plans to employ an additional 360 people with disabilities by the end of next year. This is part of the "Work – Integration" program, in which the company has been participating since 2017.

Currently, Poczta Polska employs approximately 1,730 people with disabilities, representing approximately 2.2% of its total workforce. In early August, the company submitted a request to the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons (PFRON) for further employment growth. Poczta Polska wants to hire new employees in customer service, forwarding and distribution, parcel processing, cargo processing, drivers (vehicles up to 3.5 tons), and postmen.

The company is collaborating with the Activation Foundation, a partner selected by PFRON to implement the "Work – Integration" project. Under the project, a total of 400 people with disabilities are expected to be employed by Poczta Polska (Polish Post) by the end of this year (including in post offices and sorting facilities). As a result of the recruitment process conducted by the foundation, 347 employees have already been hired.

In July 2018, Poczta Polska adopted a "Policy for the Employment of Persons with Disabilities," which is based on several assumptions. Among them, the recruitment process should take into account social and environmental factors in addition to the economic dimension. The company aims to create an integrated workforce by recruiting new and competent employees with disabilities. Furthermore, the company hopes that its initiatives will reduce the cost of mandatory contributions to the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons.
