Polish Post increases book sales

Poczta Polska (Polish Post) branches are undergoing a transformation. Among the numerous changes, the expansion of their book offerings is also significant. In the first quarter of this year, over 300 branches installed new stands, presenting popular titles in a highly attractive manner. The effect is astonishing. Higher sales were recorded throughout the first quarter of this year, and comparing March 2025 to March of last year, book sales increased by 15%.

Analyzing last year's sales results, the most popular items purchased at Poczta Polska were self-help books and novels. Data for the first quarter of 2025 show that customer purchasing preferences have not changed.

What do Poczta Polska customers buy most often?

Self-help books have been bestsellers in recent months – the most popular titles include "Ecological Moon Guide 2025" and "Baking for Diabetics." Also very popular were "Chłopki" (The Peasants) by Joanna Kuciel-Frydryszak and "Tysiąc Odpowiedzi by miłość" (A Thousand Reasons to Love) by Krystyna Mirek, who recently met with her readers at several Poczta Polska branches. Our branches were also a place where students eagerly sought study materials for their eighth-grade exams.

Better exposure means more sales

Book sales growth in the first quarter of 2025 – compared to the same period last year – increased by approximately 10%. And in March, compared to March 2024, it increased by as much as 15%. This is undoubtedly the result of improved book display and Poczta Polska's involvement in activities supporting their sales at its branches.

Thanks to these changes, books are offered on special stands and arranged thematically, making it easier for customers to find titles they are interested in. Monthly new releases, which go on sale in stores on their release day, are also displayed on display at the counter.

Exclusive books and author meetings

Poczta Polska also offers pre-orders for titles, meaning they're available exclusively through us for several weeks. We're also organizing meetings with bestselling authors at post offices. A special guest, Sławomir Koper . He's the author of nearly ninety historical books, including many bestsellers, with over a million copies sold.
