Poczta Polska commemorates and honors not only important figures, events, and architectural landmarks on its stamps and postcards. The company also promotes cultural heritage and regional crafts, including culinary ones. The latest postcard from the "Traditionally Products" issue features a Masovian jay.

The card design features the issue's title, "Traditional Products," in the illustration section, along with a photo of Masovian jays on a wooden tray. The postal issue was released in 5,000 copies. The card, depicting the delicacy from eastern Masovia, is accompanied by a date stamp, which will be used at the Cegłowice Post Office. The official launch of the card will take place in Cegłowice during the 14th "Sójka Mazowiecka" Folklore and Taste Festival on July 23rd of this year.

"Sójka Mazowiecka is an easy-to-prepare, inexpensive, and, above all, incredibly tasty product. In keeping with cultivated traditions, it's often made with ingredients sourced from farms that have been making these extraordinary dumplings for nearly a century. I'm convinced that our latest card will not only serve as a way to appreciate the culinary artistry of the people of eastern Masovia, but will also inspire all lovers of traditional cuisine to try it," emphasizes Daniel Witowski, spokesperson for Poczta Polska.

This little-known culinary selection from the heart of Poland deserves promotion not only for its originality but, above all, for its exceptional flavor. Sójki Mazowieckie are large, baked pierogi made from yeast dough, stuffed with sauerkraut, bacon or bacon fat, millet, and mushrooms. The tradition of baking this unusual pierogi is carefully cultivated in the eastern part of Mazovia. Therefore, the idea behind promoting the Sójki Mazowiecka in Poczta Polska publications is the Cegłów City and Commune Office, where you can still enjoy this original, traditional culinary creation.
