"Postal Christmas" – we summarize the campaign
The third edition of the "Postal Christmas" charity campaign concluded at the end of December. We thank everyone who helped ensure that, despite these exceptional times, postal workers in need received gifts, and with them, a glimmer of hope for a better tomorrow.
Ultimately, 58 families registered for this year's "Postal Christmas" campaign. Gifts were received by 47 families. Eleven families, due to illness and disability, currently require urgent financial support for medical treatment. For these families and many other families registered for the campaign, the "Postal Gift" Foundation will allocate funds to help save their health and lives. The first applications for assistance – necessary for "Postal Gift" to provide assistance – have already been received, and the families will receive appropriate assistance in the coming days.
In 2020, as part of the "Postal Christmas" program, the beneficiary families received, among others: :
- educational equipment for the development and learning of speech for sick children,
- household appliances (including washing machines, dishwashers, meat grinders, multifunctional food processors),
- a sleeping bed for a disabled person,
- fuel for the winter,
- gift cards to supermarket chains.
The campaign was financed by the Pocztowy Dar Foundation and 103 employees who donated a total of PLN 10,584 to a special sub-account.
The Postal Christmas is a charity project run by the Pocztowy Dar Foundation and the Post Office. We help postal families facing difficult life circumstances, including serious illnesses—their own, a child's, or another family member's. We prepare packages for them, containing everything they need for everyday needs and for the most beautiful holidays of the year.
"Postal Christmas" takes place once a year, but you can help all year round through the "Postal Gift" Foundation. There are several ways to support it. You can help by donating funds to the Foundation's , or by donating 1% of your tax when filing your tax return.
How to donate 1%? It's very simple!
All you need to do is enter the following in the appropriate box on your tax return form:
- KRS number: 0000370216
- name of the Foundation: Pocztowy Dar
- the amount of 1% of your tax
Your gift will help the Foundation's beneficiaries cope with difficult everyday life.
