Postmen will deliver parcels in selected cities on weekends
With the holiday season approaching, Poczta Polska couriers are delivering parcels not only on weekdays. Starting November 27th, residents of several cities in several voivodeships across Poland can expect a postman to visit on Saturday, and in some places, even on Sunday. This coming Saturday, residents of Białystok and Bydgoszcz will also receive their parcels.
Poczta Polska has expanded the list of towns and cities served on Saturday. On December 11, postal couriers will deliver parcels to residents of the following voivodeships (and cities): Lower Silesian (Dzierżoniów, Legnica, Jelcz-Laskowice, Jelenia Góra, Strzegom, Wałbrzych, Wrocław, Zgorzelec), Kuyavian-Pomeranian (Bydgoszcz and Solec Kujawski), Lublin (Lublin), Lubusz (Gorzów Wielkopolski), Łódź (Łódź), Lesser Poland (Kraków), Subcarpathian (Rzeszów County), Podlaskie (Białystok), Świętokrzyskie (Kielce), Greater Poland (Poznań, Ostrów Wielkopolski, Komorniki commune) and West Pomeranian (Szczecin).
Poczta Polska is intensively preparing to handle the growing volume of parcels Poles receive from friends or order from online stores in anticipation of the upcoming Christmas holidays. Starting November 27th, the company's couriers will also deliver parcels on Saturdays. The list of cities where residents can expect a postal delivery service on the sixth day of the week is constantly expanding. In some towns in the Mazovian Voivodeship, Poczta Polska couriers will also visit recipients this coming Sunday.
Postal workers will deliver parcels this coming weekend, December 11th and 12th, to residents of Warsaw and the surrounding towns of Piaseczno, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Brwinów, Sochaczew, Lesznowola, Raszyn, and Mysiadło. Couriers will also deliver parcels on the second Saturday and Sunday of December to recipients in Ciechanów, Ostrołęka, Płock, and Siedlce.
Poczta Polska reminds that parcels can also be collected on Sundays at selected collection points across the country. Most Żabka stores and PKN Orlen gas stations, as well as many Biedronka supermarkets, are open 7 days a week. A list of collection points is available here .
