Poles are saying goodbye to the delivery note. There are now over 2 million e-delivery boxes.

The e-Delivery system already has over 2 million inboxes. 75 percent of them were set up this year. This is the best proof that the digital revolution in Poland is accelerating. Note that further significant changes to the system are coming into effect in January.

Polish institutions, companies, and individuals sent a total of 38.7 million parcels via the e-Delivery system. Of these, 12 million were digital registered letters and 26.7 million were hybrid parcels. Furthermore, approximately 92% of these parcels—over 35.6 million, including 11.9 million completely digital parcels—were shipped in 2025.

" These are good results, but we want to educate and convince Poles that switching to digital correspondence is worthwhile. With each passing month, we see how dynamically the e-Delivery system is developing, and we are confident that Poles will be more willing to participate in it starting in January next year, when the transition period ends and digital delivery becomes mandatory for many public administration institutions in contacts with citizens, " says Paweł Raczyński, Procurator of the Management Board of Poczta Polska in the IT area and Director of the Digital Transformation Department.

January 1, 2026 – the beginning of a new era of e-Delivery

The new year will usher in a new phase of e-Delivery implementation, marking the end of paper delivery notices in correspondence with many public administration offices. Starting in the new year, a significant portion of public administration will be required to deliver documents primarily via e-Delivery.

Of course, only those who have an account in the system and an electronic delivery address (ADE). For other citizens, correspondence will be delivered using a hybrid service (PUH) – that is, it will be sent digitally, then printed by machine at special Poczta Polska centers and delivered by postmen.

The Polish Post Office recommends the e-Polecony service

Poczta Polska encourages the use of the e-Poleconyservice. The difference between e-Delivery and e-Poleconyis that in e-Delivery, one of the parties is always a public entity, and it is free for citizens. e-Polecony is the same digital delivery, but between non-public entities, such as a company and a private individual. Thanks to e-Registered, paper correspondence can be completely eliminated.

How to activate e-Polecony?

You can create an electronic delivery address (ADE) by submitting an application to the Minister of Digital Affairs. This can be done via the gov.pl website . After creating an account, simply activate your public delivery mailbox and you can activate e-Polecony . After accepting the regulations, a qualified delivery mailbox (SDK) is created, and you can then freely communicate electronically with other service users.

The assignment of an address by the minister ensures that we know exactly who we're corresponding with, as there's no possibility of impersonation. Every user wishing to use the service must authenticate themselves, meaning they log in using an electronic identification device, such as a trusted profile.
