Children's guides and books are the hottest items in 2018 at post offices

Children's books are the most popular, especially coloring books, sticker books, and "The Most Beautiful Poems of Jan Brzechwa." Among books for adult readers, self-help books are the most popular. Religious publications came in second, and culinary books came in third. The list of best-selling books in 2018 includes "I Was in Heaven: The True Story of Death and Return to Life," "Volhynia in Blood 1943," "Sister Anastasia's Kitchen," "The Tattooist of Auschwitz," and "And I Said to Her."

We are consistently offering our customers new publications. Recently, we have released books such as "RysowAnka szczęścia" (Happiness Drawing) by Anna Zielińska-Stecyna, a Polish Post Office employee, and "180,000 Kilometers of Adventure" by Tony Halik. At the end of January, on the same day as its release, Remigiusz Mróz's latest novel, "Nieodgadniona" (Unexplained), a sequel to the bestselling "Nieodlaziona" (Unfound), and "Chyłka. Post offices are located in all municipalities in Poland, particularly in small towns and villages, providing access to cultural heritage. In total, the company has over 7,500 offices, with 76 new ones added last year alone.

The sale of goods at post offices is conducted under commission agreements. Poczta Polska is gradually streamlining its commercial offerings and focusing on the development of book and press sales. Book sales generate a portion of the Post's revenue, alongside services and other goods. In 2018, they accounted for nearly 30% of its sales revenue. Poczta Polska customers also readily purchase stationery and office supplies. The regular offering also includes cardboard packaging, packaging sets, and envelopes for parcel packaging. The company prepares special assortments for various occasions, such as regular events and holidays, to meet customer expectations. In 2018, sweets, beverages, and special occasion items were very popular.
