The works of young artists will be featured on postage stamps
The 4th edition of the "World Through the Eyes of Young People" art competition concluded in June of this year. The competition for young artists is an initiative of the Polish Post and the Bank Ochrony Środowiska Foundation. The winning works will be commemorated on postage stamps in September.
This year's competition had a special dimension, as it was held during such a difficult time for all of us. This, however, did not diminish interest in the competition – over 800 people submitted their works. From these, the jury selected the 13 best.
The main prizes will be awarded in September this year – during the presentation of the stamps already produced – to the winners of the competition in the individual categories: Robert Kołdras from the Youth Cultural Center "Dom Harcerze" (category under 12 years old), Anna Pietroń from Primary School No. 2 in Rawa Mazowiecka (category 12–15 years old) and Klaudia Peterko from the Secondary School No. 2 in Rybnik (category 16–19 years old).
The committee also awarded 10 honorable mentions. The following were recognized:

The "World Through the Eyes of Young People" postage stamp design competition annually explores important social topics. The competition not only educates young people on selected issues but also provides them with opportunities to express their opinions and engage in discussion. The fourth edition of the competition, organized under the theme "Volunteering," is dedicated to the topic of volunteering in its various aspects, including the ideas it brings, examples of volunteering activities, and the benefits for both beneficiaries and volunteers themselves.
The "World Through the Eyes of Young People" competition offers a unique opportunity for young people to design their own stamps. The three best designs, along with their authors' names, will be featured on stamps issued by Poczta Polska in September of this year, in a circulation of 100,000. They will be available in the online store and in philatelic shops nationwide.
The honorary patronage over the competition was assumed by: the Minister of National Education, the Minister of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy and the Ombudsman for Children.
