The President of the Office of Electronic Communications has decided: Poczta Polska is the designated operator until 2035

The President of the Office of Electronic Communications, after conducting a two-stage competition, decided to entrust Poczta Polska with the task of providing universal services for a period of 10 years, i.e. in the years 2026-2035, i.e. delivering letters and parcels to all Poles throughout the country - both traditional and via e-Delivery.

The President of the Office of Electronic Communications informed Poczta Polska about the decision in a letter dated November 28 this year, which was received by the Company. "I hereby select Poczta Polska SA, with its registered office in Warsaw at 8 Rodziny Hiszpańskich Street, as the designated operator for the years 2026-2035 (...) I hereby declare this decision immediately enforceable," he wrote.

What services will the Post Office provide?

– universal services referred to in Article 45 paragraph 1 of the Postal Law, covering the sorting, transport and delivery of: letter items, including registered and insured items, weighing up to 2 kg and of various dimensions, items for the blind, postal parcels, including insured items, weighing up to 10 kg, as well as postal parcels sent from abroad weighing up to 20 kg;

The logistics potential of the Polish Post

Poczta Polska (Polish Post) operates dozens of sorting centers and over 7,600 branches, including 4,800 of its own. It has a fleet of 7,200 vehicles. Postmen and couriers cover approximately 162 million kilometers annually and deliver nearly 4 million parcels and letters daily.

Poczta Polska, in collaboration with government institutions, is also expanding its electronic delivery system. To receive and send letters digitally, simply set up an e-Delivery mailbox and use it to conduct electronic correspondence, for example, with government offices. And with Poczta Polska's e-Polecony , you can also send correspondence electronically to other individuals or companies as part of the e-Delivery package.

The system already has over 2 million inboxes. 75 percent of them were created this year.
