Special stamps, extraordinary auctions. This is how the Polish Post and the Polish Security Printing Works will play for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity

The 34th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is upon us. This time, the funds raised will support the diagnosis and treatment of children's gastrointestinal diseases. Once again, the Polish Post will issue a special stamp, designed by Jerzy Owsiak and Barbara Kasperek, and produced by the Polish Security Printing Works.

On January 9th, the official presentation of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity stamps took place. This year, 68 new stamps were also created and will be auctioned.

"There's nothing more important than children's health. We're once again joining the noble cause of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP), as our company has a long tradition of giving back. I hope the stamp will be popular, and that special auctions will raise as much money as possible and help those in need, " says Piotr Szajczyk, Vice President of Sales at Poczta Polska.

Harmonious cooperation for the benefit of children

The Polish Post, in cooperation with the Polish Security Printing Works and the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, has issued a stamp on the occasion of the 34th Finale of the Orchestra, which will take place on January 25.

"The Polish Security Printing Works' involvement in the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Finale, even though this is our first time doing so, is always a special event for us. Because we want to and can help. This year, in addition to the circulation stamp, we produced unique new prints with a digital NFT version. They are made from original production materials with additional digital personalization. For the 34th Finale, 68 new prints were produced, each with a unique graphic design – 34 with perforation and 34 without. Such a small print run makes each print highly collectible, " said Zygmunt Kostkiewicz, President of PWPW.

The goal of the finale is to support the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases in the youngest patients, and its motto is: " Healthy tummies of our children ." The meaning of the unusual shape and colors of the badge is explained by the conductor of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity himself.

"The postage stamp is back for good as part of the Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity! The stamp for the 34th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is color, swirls of DNA, and a multitude of other life forms in all the colors of the world – this is how we talk about the healthy bellies of our children, that is, pediatric gastroenterology. With this stamp, we also say, 'And we? We do our part,' because that's how the Orchestra works – every day it thinks about helping and does its part, 365 days a year. And this action is our great strength! " says Jurek Owsiak, President of the WOŚP Foundation Board.

A unique issue will be auctioned for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity

This year, a special edition of the stamp was also created and will be auctioned, with the proceeds going to this year's campaign. This is a unique new edition, along with a digital version (NFT) – only 68 numbered copies, including 34 perforated and 34 imperforate, each personalized with graphics. The new editions will be presented in a gift box, secured with a wax seal.

Its unique mintage and combination of classic philatelic value and modern digital solutions make it a unique collector's item, available exclusively during this year's Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity auction. The collaboration between the Polish Post and the Polish Security Printing Works (PWPW) in its creation gives it a prestigious character and makes it particularly attractive to collectors.
