Christmas with Poczta Polska: We invite you to magical literary meetings at post offices
The most beautiful days of the year are fast approaching. To experience the magic of the holidays from the first days of December, Poczta Polska invites you to a unique series of author meetings. At three post offices and the municipal library, we will host four authors of Christmas literature – Urszula Gajdowska, Marta Nowik, Aneta Krasińska, and Kasia Bulicz-Kasprzak. During the meetings, as part of the "Placówka Kultura" project, each author will discuss their latest book, introducing readers to a world full of warmth, emotion, and Christmas spirit.
The first events will take place on December 5th. In Białystok, at the post office at 10 Warszawska Street, readers will meet Urszula Gajdowska and Marta Nowik Aneta Krasińska at the Faustyna Morzycka Municipal-Community Public Library . During the meeting in the library, at the Poczta Polska stand, you will be able to purchase books by the author, whose latest autographed title – "Winter in Nałęczów" – will be available at selected post offices.
In the following days, the group of authors will be joined by Kasia Bulicz-Kasprzak , who will meet with readers in Błonie near Warsaw – at the facility at 3A Targowa Street – on December 10 at 6 p.m. and on December 12 at 5 p.m. in Łódź at the facility at 227 Włókniarzy Avenue.
During meetings at Poczta Polska branches, you will be able to listen to conversations with the authors, buy books at promotional prices, get autographs and take souvenir photos.
Poczta Polska will also invite meeting participants to a Christmas fair, where they will be able to buy sets of Christmas products sold at post offices and enjoy a cup of aromatic Herbapol tea.
For those who buy books or Christmas products on this day, Poczta Polska has prepared small gifts – including gadgets promoting the Read For Real , including unique canvas bags with graphics by Joanna Gniada.
About the author meetings project at the Polish Post Office
The Polish Post's author meetings are a series of events held at post offices across the country. The "Placówka Kultura" aims to promote reading, support Polish authors, and create spaces for direct conversations with literary creators. Dozens of meetings have already taken place across Poland. Readers had the opportunity to meet Justyna Jelińska, Monika Wawrzyńska, Agnieszka Lis, Katarzyna Majgier, Teresa Godlewska, Sławomir Kopra, Gabriela Gargaś, Urszula Gajdowska, Wioletta Piasecka, and Anna H. Niemczynow .
Poczta Polska, as the national operator, wants to emphasize its important role in the country's social and cultural life. Post offices become a place for meetings, the exchange of ideas, and inspiration, and the author meetings project is part of a broader strategy of building ties with local communities.
The Read For Real project is a pan-European initiative promoting reading, literature, and creativity, implemented by the Universal Reading Foundation. Its goal is to promote reading and support authors. The project includes author meetings, literary workshops, and educational activities aimed at various age groups.
