The holiday rush has already begun, with significant increases in shipment volumes and the launch of weekend deliveries.

Poczta Polska's logistics investments this year in new sorting machines at its logistics facilities in Wrocław, Lublin, and Lisi Ogon are already bearing fruit. In the first half of November of this year, the company handled 35% more parcels than during the same period in 2022.

The number of parcels handled by Poczta Polska is constantly growing. In the middle of the year, a typical period without significant peaks, the company handled an average of 20% more parcels than during the same months last year. Currently, a 35% increase is already being observed, indicating that Poles have begun preparing for Christmas earlier than usual and are more willing to choose Poczta Polska for deliveries. Furthermore, the largest increases in parcels handled in the pre-holiday period are expected starting next Friday, which is Black Friday.

As part of the increased volumes, Poczta Polska will begin delivering parcels on Saturdays starting November 25th. Residents of Warsaw, Wrocław, and Poznań can expect couriers. As Christmas approaches, the number of areas where parcels will be delivered on weekends will expand.

Pocztex is a particularly popular delivery method for parcels ordered through Poczta Polska. Customers can choose the most convenient way to collect their purchases from three available options: Pocztex PUNKT – delivery to a network of points that includes nearly 17,000 locations across Poland; Pocztex AUTOMAT – delivery to parcel machines located nationwide; and Pocztex KURIER – delivery by courier to a specified address.

Recently, Poczta Polska has also launched two services that may also be appreciated by young people - the Pocztex Mobile application for handling courier shipments and the possibility of sending parcels - at post offices and through a network of partner points - without the need to print labels.
