The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection has launched the "Check, read, ask!" campaign.
A new nationwide social campaign launched by the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), "Check, Read, Ask!", has been launched. Its aim is to warn consumers about fraudsters and the risk of losing money.
The campaign by the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) aims to draw public attention to the increased threat of unfair market practices and fraud in the current exceptional situation. Consumer complaints indicate that many people are being targeted with offers of alternative financial investments that falsely promise quick, reliable, and high risk-free returns. Consumers are also being lured into products or services that falsely promise health care or treatment.
The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) warns against falling victim to scammers in these difficult times, as it's much easier to fall into the trap. Older consumers—our grandparents, parents, and neighbors—are particularly vulnerable to these kinds of situations.
The campaign is promoted by two 30-second spots intended for broadcast on television, radio, the internet and on media in public spaces.
