Polish Post services that help you enjoy your summer holidays

Holidays are a time when we spend more time away from home. Customers who want to enjoy summer but still want to have everything they need under control regarding postal services can take advantage of many benefits. Poczta Polska offers most of these year-round, but they are especially useful during the holiday travel period.

Parcel storage is a long-term service—up to four weeks from the first delivery attempt—that allows for the safekeeping of a parcel. Parcels typically remain at post offices for a maximum of 14 days. To store a parcel longer, you must submit an appropriate request—either electronically or in paper form. A printable form, available here , can be given to a post office employee or the postman. The fee for this service depends on the parcel's storage period and is charged each time, according to the price list, upon delivery. Depending on the type of parcel, the fee ranges from PLN 0.50 to PLN 2.00 per day. This service does not cover documents related to criminal, civil, court-administrative, administrative, or tax proceedings, or documents concerning violations of public finance discipline, parcels containing bees and poultry chicks, milk samples, or Pocztex parcels.

Poste Restante allows you to pick up your parcel at any post office of your choice. This service is recommended for anyone changing their address. To use this service, the parcel must be properly addressed. The following information should appear on the parcel, in the correct order: the recipient's name and surname, the word "Poste Restante," the correct postal code, and the name of the post office that will deliver the parcel. Parcels sent via Poste Restante are delivered at the price of the service chosen by the customer, with no additional charge.

Another service – redirection (sending) – allows you to redirect a shipment to another specified address. To do this, simply complete a form – either electronically or on paper. For the latter option, the form must be submitted to a post office or given to the postman. Submitting a request using the electronic form requires identity authentication through the National Electronic Identification Hub or in person at the delivery location. The fee for sending the shipment depends on its type. This service does not cover the same letters and shipments as the parcel storage service.

If you'd like your registered mail delivered to the address indicated on the package, you can use our delivery-on-demand service. This service can be ordered online , by phone (+48 43 842 06 00 from mobile phones and 801 333 444 from landlines abroad), or by contacting the postman by submitting a completed form. The service fee is PLN 4.50.

Poczta Polska also offers a useful service for people who are often away from home, not just during vacation. Using the free registered mailbox service, mail is delivered directly to the recipient's mailbox. This service can be used by submitting the appropriate form – electronically or on paper – and handing it to a post office employee or mail carrier.

All forms that can be submitted traditionally can be downloaded from the Poczta Polska website. They are also available at post offices.

Poczta Polska also offers a range of other services for those who want to conveniently receive and send mail. These include the eNadawca , electronic confirmations ( eINFO: receipt , eINFO: delivery , eINFO: shipment , eINFO: advice ), and electronic shipment tracking ( eMonitoring ).

The company also offers digital equivalents of registered letters, such as e-Delivery ( for electronic communication with public entities) and e-Polecony (for electronic communication with non-public entities: companies, entrepreneurs, individuals, associations, and attorneys). Services provided through electronic delivery are fully secure, trustworthy services, allowing us to be certain of who we are corresponding with.
