In cities of Mazovia and Greater Poland we deliver parcels even on Sundays

pp_1Postal workers in dozens of Polish cities will be delivering parcels on Saturday, December 19th. Residents of Poznań, Warsaw, and the large cities of Mazovia can expect couriers to knock on their door as early as this coming Sunday.

The pre-holiday period is the busiest time for postal workers. Parcel volume increases by over 50% compared to other times of the year. In November, parcels were also delivered on Saturdays in Warsaw, and in December, this was the case in more than a dozen Polish cities. Due to the high pre-holiday volume, Poczta Polska is expanding the list of cities with weekend delivery.

" The pre-Christmas rush is a special time when postal workers are busiest. We realize that packages contain gifts, so we deliver them even on Saturdays and Sundays. When shopping online this weekend, pay attention to the store's delivery times. Pocztex courier packages received from online stores on Monday will be delivered to the recipient before Christmas, " says Justyna Siwek, spokesperson for Poczta Polska.

Postmen will deliver parcels on Saturday, December 19 this year in several dozen cities: Biała Podlaska, Białystok, Bydgoszcz, Ciechanów, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Kielce, Koszalin, Kraków, Lublin, Łódź, Ostrołęka, Ostrów Wielkopolski, Olsztyn, Poznań, Płock, Rzeszów, Siedlce, Sopot, Szczecin, as well as in Warsaw, Włocławek, Wrocław and Zielona Góra, as well as Katowice, Zabrze and other cities of the Silesian agglomeration.

Residents of Warsaw, Płock, Ciechanów, Ostrołęka, Siedlce and Poznań can also expect their e-shopping to be delivered this Sunday, December 20.

To improve parcel processing, Poczta Polska has hired over 1,500 seasonal workers, primarily in sorting facilities. In total, 6,300 couriers and 25,000 postmen deliver parcels during the pre-holiday period.
