Customers have already purchased over 50,000 decoders at Poczta Polska branches.
Nearly 400,000 applications for subsidies for the purchase of digital receivers have been submitted to Poczta Polska offices so far. Customers are increasingly opting to acquire devices enabling reception of the new television standard at the company's offices and branches. Poczta Polska has sold over 50,000 decoders to date, and this number is growing daily.
Poczta Polska (Polish Post) launched processing applications for subsidies for receiver purchases on March 21st of this year, in conjunction with the change in the digital terrestrial television broadcasting standard. Using the national postal operator's extensive infrastructure, with a network of several thousand branches nationwide, customers can conveniently, quickly, and conveniently apply for a voucher.
Applying for a benefit for the purchase of a digital receiver is possible either online, via the website, or at Poczta Polska (Polish Post) offices located throughout the country. By far the most popular way for Poles to obtain a benefit for the purchase of a digital receiver capable of receiving DVB-T2/HEVC terrestrial television is to visit a post office or its branch.
Subsidies for the purchase of digital receivers depend on the type of receiver and amount to PLN 250 for a television and PLN 100 for a decoder. The transition from the DVB-T standard to DVB-T2/HEVC was implemented regionally, in stages. The last switchover took place on June 27th of this year in the northeastern part of the country, covering the following voivodeships: Warmian-Masurian, Podlaskie, Masovian, and Lublin. Those who have lost access to television reception can still apply for subsidies for the purchase of a digital receiver; the subsidy program will last until the end of this year.
