Polish Post Virtual Run – we ran virtually, we will help in real life!
The first, historic edition of the Polish Post Virtual Run is going down in history as a record-breaking event, both in terms of the number of participants and the funds raised. Now that the excitement surrounding the event is behind us, we will focus on providing comprehensive support to the beneficiaries of the Pocztowy Dar Foundation.
Participation in the Polish Post Virtual Run, in addition to promoting a healthy lifestyle and sports competition, also meant real help for the beneficiaries of the Pocztowy Dar Foundation – small, local sports clubs.
The 1,407 people who participated in our race have reason to be proud. We are officially announcing that thanks to the Polish Post Virtual Run, the Pocztowy Dar Foundation will receive 13,974 PLN. This money will be used to promote sports activities among children and youth in small towns, combat social exclusion, and support young sports talent. This is another of many social initiatives conducted by the Pocztowy Dar Foundation. However, you can still support the Foundation's program by donating directly to the Foundation's account. 47 1320 1104 3014 4239 2000 0001.
A total of PLN 7,035 was collected from entry fees across Poland. Almost as much – PLN 6,939 – came from voluntary contributions from race participants.
"The Pocztowy Dar Foundation's mission has always been to help. No obstacles or limitations stop us, including the current global situation. We help the sick, the needy, and those who want to make a difference in their lives. These are the little athletes from small towns who love their hobbies. We dedicate our support to them and thank everyone who ran virtually with Pocztowy Dar. Thanks to you, we can put into practice the words of the great educator Janusz Korczak: 'A child wants to be good. If they can't do it, teach it. If they don't know how, explain it. If they can't do it, help them, '" says Agnieszka Kłoda-Dębska, president of the Pocztowy Dar Foundation.
The lack of physical activity is influenced by a sedentary lifestyle, financial constraints, and infrastructural limitations, as well as unforeseen circumstances. The Pocztowy Dar Foundation's program, aimed at school sports clubs in small towns, will address these challenges. Through this program, the Foundation will provide organizational and financial support to school sports clubs, including by purchasing essential sports equipment damaged by accidents.
