We support the #PomagamUkrainie campaign
Poczta Polska has joined another initiative aimed at supporting refugees. The company's branches launched the #PomagamUkrainie (I Help Ukraine) information campaign, promoting the PomagamUkrainie.gov.pl platform developed by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
Russian aggression against Ukraine is causing a humanitarian crisis unlike anything we've seen in our part of Europe since World War II. Millions of Poles have responded by offering aid to refugees and Ukrainians who remain in their homeland. Posters promoting the #PomagamUkrainie.gov.pl campaign, developed by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, have been placed at Polish Post offices.
The portal is a central, verified database of various aid initiatives. Available in both Polish and Ukrainian, PomagamUkrainie.gov.pl allows refugees to find practical information about available support. Poles, as well as Polish local governments, NGOs, and companies, can submit their aid initiatives or support organizers of existing initiatives.
This is a significant step in providing information and addressing assistance that meets the specific needs of refugees. Every bit of help matters, and the number of people in need continues to grow. Therefore, it's worth filling out the form now and reporting your activities at PomagamUkrainie.gov.pl.
It's worth noting that Poczta Polska, in joining the government's program to help our neighbors, has made its resources available to the appropriate state agencies, including accommodations in postal training and recreation centers and a staff hostel, vehicles for transporting Ukrainian citizens, and supplies from the warehouses of the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves. The company has also offered to employ refugees in a number of positions that do not require knowledge of the Polish language.
The post office also organized a friendly employee fundraiser for Ukraine. As part of its internal aid campaign, it is collecting essential supplies for our neighbors. The "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation has also launched a special sub-account to collect funds for aid in Ukraine. Anyone can help by donating to the sub-account number: 36 1320 1104 3014 4239 2000 0005.
