We support the National Population and Housing Census in Mazovia

NSP FacilityThanks to a letter of intent signed on August 9th of this year between the Statistical Office in Warsaw and Poczta Polska, census enumerators will begin on duty at selected company offices in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship this month. This will enable individuals without internet access to fulfill their statutory census obligation. Information about census enumerator duties will be available on the website of the Statistical Office in Warsaw and at participating post offices.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year's National Census of Population and Housing is being conducted entirely using an interactive census form available online. To enable those without internet access to complete the self-census, Poczta Polska and the Statistical Office in Warsaw signed a letter of intent on August 9th. Under this agreement, the company will provide computer-equipped census enumerators at several of its Masovian branches. During their shifts, they will assist those who, for various reasons, have been unable to do so. Informational posters will be placed on the doors or windows of participating post offices. A list of these branches will also be available on the website Office in Warsaw .

It's worth recalling that earlier in April and May, Poczta Polska, under an agreement with the Central Statistical Office, delivered over 15 million letters from the President of the Central Statistical Office to all address points across the country. The materials distributed by postal workers included information on the principles of the census process and implementation.

The census results are crucial for both the region and the entire country. They serve as a guide for local government budgeting and the basis for determining the amount of state subsidies and grants for municipalities and voivodeships. The census results are used by key ministries to plan activities in education, healthcare, food policy, finance, spatial development, housing needs, and water and sewage management. The National Census of Population and Housing will conclude on September 30th of this year.

Enabling a wide group of residents of the Masovian Voivodeship who do not have access to the internet to participate in the census is possible thanks to Poczta Polska maintaining an extensive network of postal offices, branches, and agencies, of which there are nearly 7,600 nationwide. Most of the company's branches are located in convenient, central administrative locations, making them important places for local communities.
