Mutual help creates power!
The Postal Christmas is a charity project run by the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation and the Post Office. We help postal families facing difficult life circumstances, including serious illnesses – their own, their child's, or another family member's. We prepare packages for them, containing everything they need for everyday needs and for the most beautiful holidays of the year. This year, due to the pandemic, we're offering you a slightly different way to help, but we promise that if you join us, as in previous years, the help will reach everyone who needs it.
Who are we helping this year?
Our list of families in need already includes 43. Unfortunately, their difficult daily lives are not fiction but real, with problems they grapple with every day.
Those in need include large families with chronically ill children, families in which only one person can work due to a serious illness or disability of the children or spouse, families affected by cancer requiring very high financial outlays for treatment, and families affected by the death of one of their members.
What do those in need need?
Postal families need household appliances (e.g., washing machines, pots, plates), learning aids for disabled children, furniture (e.g., beds), clothing, food and household chemicals, fuel for the winter, as well as medical or rehabilitation equipment, paid rehabilitation, medicines, or simply shopping vouchers to provide them with enough funds for everyday life and the needs that most of us do not have.
How are we helping this year?
So far, we've been helping by preparing packages to include as many essential items as possible, purchased by the Postal Service and the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation. Since last year, we've also started including vouchers, including for grocery stores.
The solution we propose this year is to make payments to a sub-account created by the Foundation:

With all the money that comes in and the money donated for this purpose by the Foundation, "Pocztowy Dar" will purchase necessary items, household appliances, specialized learning equipment for sick children, as well as vouchers/gift cards for stores where those in need will be able to purchase the things they need.
Moreover, those in need in a difficult situation due to their health condition will be able to count on the Foundation's support in terms of co-financing treatment, medicines, rehabilitation, etc.
We thank you in advance for every single złoty you donate. We know these are difficult times, and it's not easy for anyone, but helping others is one of the most important and noblest of human needs. Helping others brings goodness and happiness—both to the recipients and the givers. Let's help the Foundation's beneficiaries, with whom no one would want to swap lives, experience a truly joyful holiday season!
