"Choose us, plant a forest!" - a new ecological campaign by the Pocztex courier brand
Poczta Polska, as a socially responsible company, actively engages in pro-ecological activities and implements environmentally friendly solutions. As part of another sales initiative called EKO Pocztex, it is launching the "Choose Us, Plant a Forest!" campaign.
The idea behind the initiative is to promote pro-ecological behavior and respect for the forest among customers.
By joining the "Choose Us, Plant a Forest!" campaign, customers will be able to contribute to saving the environment. The idea is simple: for every 100 Pocztex parcels sent by a customer between January and August 2024, Poczta Polska will plant one tree. The tree planting will take place in September and October of this year. Details of the campaign can be found here .
This new initiative is a continuation of Poczta Polska's collaboration with the State Forests to protect the natural environment. Since October 2020, Poczta Polska employees have been volunteering in forest planting campaigns. Together, we have already planted over 22,000 trees!
Pro-ecological projects are part of Poczta Polska's CSR policy . The goal is not only to develop forest areas but, above all, to protect the climate and air, which will also translate into a reduced carbon footprint.
EKO Pocztex means concrete actions
Poczta Polska also prioritizes the eco-friendly transport of Pocztex parcels. Its fleet includes delivery vehicles that meet the highest European emission standards and electric vehicles that reduce toxic emissions into the air. Parcel transport routes are also planned with ecology and environmental impact in mind, and drivers are trained in eco-driving. Many employees also deliver parcels using bicycles.
An example of the company's environmentally friendly efforts is the installation of photovoltaic panels. Just one such installation will reduce CO2 emissions by 432.5 tons per year, and we plan to install six by the end of the year.
Just last year, Poczta Polska expanded its fleet with electric vehicles, and the remaining delivery vehicles meet the highest European emission standards. Digitization and modern communication methods, widely used by Poczta Polska, allow for savings of millions of postcards annually. Customers can also benefit from eco-friendly, digital solutions by sending parcels without the need to print a shipping label.
The company systematically modernizes its post offices and industrial facilities – the largest sorting plants, warehouses, and connected technical buildings. Each new solution reduces electricity consumption and CO2 emissions. On average, this reduces electricity consumption and CO2 emissions by approximately 70%.
Eco-friendly Pocztex also boasts modern machinery – new sorting machines and other equipment essential for the logistics process. The company is installing new machines on a large scale, replacing old equipment or installing them in new facilities. This is also an environmentally friendly operation, which is not visible in the parcel delivery process. Digitization and modern forms of communication, widely used by Poczta Polska, allow for savings of millions of sheets of paper annually. Customers can also benefit from these eco-friendly, digital solutions – for example, they can send parcels online without printing a shipping label.
The parcel delivery and collection network is also environmentally friendly. It comprises not only post offices and parcel machines, but also a network of several thousand partner locations where, while handling everyday matters, you can use services provided by Poczta Polska.
Pocztex offers more than just eco-friendly transport, sorting facilities, technical support, and the ability to use digital services. It also offers eco-friendly products available in the Poczta Polska e-shop – for packing, wrapping, and shipping parcels.
