We are resuming the possibility of sending live insects
Due to high temperatures, Poczta Polska has temporarily suspended acceptance of live insect shipments. Given that the coming weeks will be a key time in the beekeeping season, when customers expect fast, efficient, and safe transport of insects, the service will be resumed.
From 2 p.m. on Monday, May 27, parcels containing live insects, in particular bees and queen bees, will be accepted again.
Moreover, to improve transport, parcels containing insects will be specially marked so that they reach their recipients with priority.
We would like to remind you about the conditions that must be met when sending parcels with live animals, including bees and queen bees:
Pocztex shipment:
– the shipment should have the indicated content, e.g. bees, queen bees,
– the shipment can only be sent on the business day preceding the business day,
– the sender is obliged to provide the sender’s and recipient’s telephone numbers on the label,
– the shipment must be sent with the additional option Handle with care,
– the parcel should have a mark/sticker with the words Handle with Care and Handle Up-Down,
– the packaging of the shipment should be adapted to the content being shipped, i.e. sufficiently durable and strong, taking into account the weight of the content being shipped.
Universal package:
– the shipment should have the indicated content, e.g. bees, queen bees,
– the sender is obliged to provide the sender’s and recipient’s telephone numbers on the label,
– the parcel should have a mark/sticker with the words Handle with Care and Handle Up-Down,
– the packaging of the shipment should be adapted to the content being shipped, i.e. sufficiently durable and strong, taking into account the weight of the content being shipped.
