Mental health in the workplace – a new Polish Post stamp
As part of the World Mental Health Day celebrations on October 10th, Poczta Polska has issued a postage stamp reflecting this year's theme: "It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace." The design addresses the complex contemporary relationships resulting from globalization and diversity in the professional environment.
The central element of the stamp is two stylized silhouettes – a woman and a man – with overlapping profiles, symbolizing their cooperation and interdependence in teamwork. The overlapping profiles metaphorically refer to effective, professional collaboration. The stamp's color scheme, based on warm, expressive hues, adds a dynamic touch to the composition.
The stamp sheet and the First Day of Circulation (FDC) envelope depict a broader work environment, showcasing the figures of coworkers. A commemorative date stamp, whose graphic depicts a single male profile superimposed on the envelope silhouette, symbolically emphasizing the individual's internal mental processes, complements the design.
World Mental Health Day, as it does every year, is an opportunity for intensified discussion about the need for global mental health education, awareness-raising, and combating stigma. Mental health in the workplace is a topic that is gaining traction due to the growing awareness of its importance among both employers and employees.
Promoting a healthy organizational culture is crucial to supporting mental health in the workplace.
