Golden hearts of Poczta Polska customers! Record-breaking collections at Poczta Polska branches – almost PLN 7.3 million
Great news. Last year, Poczta Polska organized 43 charity events at its branches, raising nearly PLN 7.3 million in donations and cash.
The total value of products donated by donors reached PLN 7.2 million, a 22% increase compared to the previous year. Donors were also generous in donating money to the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation collection boxes, located at several hundred locations. Last year, Poczta Polska customers contributed nearly PLN 80,000.
All in-kind donations went to beneficiaries of foundations cooperating with Poczta Polska, and all the money is intended to help the youngest beneficiaries of the postal corporate foundation.
Charity events were held in the days leading up to Easter, Christmas, Children's Day, and the start of the school year. The December collection was the most popular, with items worth a staggering PLN 3.3 million collected. The collections conducted during the summer holidays and at the beginning of September proved equally successful. The value of items donated by donors during this period in 2024 was 94% higher than the previous year.
Charity drives at post offices have been running for many years. Those who wish to participate place items they have purchased into designated collection containers. These typically include books, games, toys, sweets, craft supplies, art supplies, and special occasion items.
All collections were conducted under the patronage of the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation and in cooperation with the "Inicjatywa" Foundation, the "Zachodniopomorska Fundacja Pomocy Rodzinie Tęcza Serc" (West Pomeranian Family Aid Foundation Tęcza Serc), and the "Happy Kids" Foundation. The collected items were distributed to children in orphanages, social care homes, and educational centers under the care of these foundations. The gifts were distributed to both children and adults, including seniors.
The money from the fundraiser, in line with the campaign slogan "Share a zloty, health for children", will be used to help children in need who are beneficiaries of the "Pocztowy Dar" program – for treatment, rehabilitation and the purchase of medical equipment.
