Changes in connection with the introduction of an epidemic threat
Poczta Polska is implementing changes to its services. The company is in constant contact with the Chief Sanitary Inspector and other authorities responsible for the safety of people living in Poland.
Starting next Monday (March 16th), due to the suspension of air transport, the Polish Post Office will suspend the acceptance of parcels to other countries. Changes will be introduced in the organization of post offices:
- The opening hours of branches on weekdays will be shortened to 6 hours, with the branch being open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on selected days or alternatively for three hours on Saturdays. The remaining branches, which are currently open on Saturdays, will also serve customers for three hours – detailed information on the opening hours of individual branches can be found at www.poczta-polska.pl .
- the operation of 24-hour facilities will be shortened, these facilities will be open 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.,
- Customer service points in Shopping Malls will be closed.
Customer service at post offices will be organized based on the principle that one person is allowed at each open window. Detailed information will be posted on entrance doors. With the safety of customers and employees in mind, so-called PROTECTIVE ZONES have already been implemented in direct customer service. People entering the office are asked to maintain a distance of approximately 1.5 meters while waiting for service and to remain behind the tape on the floor during service. Customers should only approach an employee to present documents and perform other necessary activities, upon the express request of a Post Office employee.
Poczta Polska does not change the rules for paying pension and retirement transfers.
Special procedures will be implemented for persons under quarantine and receiving these benefits . The Company is in contact with regional sanitary inspectors in this regard.
Disinfectants, gloves and additional supplies for employees have already been purchased and are being distributed over the weekend to ensure they reach all employees who have contact with customers by Monday at the latest.
