Postal regulations precisely regulate the issue of animal shipments. Only bees, pet birds, and ornamental birds are permitted for postal service. However, these shipments must be appropriately marked and secured to ensure the animals travel safely and are not exposed to stress or suffering, and that transport conditions do not threaten their life or health.

Shipments containing live birds and insects, in accordance with the regulations of Poczta Polska services, are only delivered in a postal parcel or Pocztex courier shipment.

The sender is obligated to provide packaging appropriate for the contents being shipped and meeting the requirements of animal protection regulations. The sender must also mark the shipment with a label or clear red inscription: "LIVE ANIMAL" and "HAND WITH CARE," as well as labels indicating the top and bottom of the shipment. Packaging should be durable and constructed to prevent leakage and must provide access to fresh air.

Please note that parcels containing birds and insects cannot be sent using the Pick-up at a collection point or machine option and cannot be addressed to a post office or a post office box.
