Service of people with disabilities

Poczta Polska performs the obligations under the Postal Law to people with disabilities , including applies architectural and organizational solutions enabling the use of common services in postal facilities and provides service at the place of residence. We also apply the priority principle in servicing privileged persons in postal facilities, including for people with disabilities.

Poczta Polska allows access to postal facilities, by using free inputs or infrastructure elements such as driveways, lifts, elevators. However, in postal facilities, where there are architectural barriers, e.g. in facilities covered by conservation protection, we use devices that are used to directly recall the service of the facility.

In post offices, we have service stations dedicated to people with disabilities, marked with a pictogram. On the other hand, broadcasting mailboxes are placed in a way that allows them to be used by people moving using a wheelchair. Information in this area can be found in the search engine of postal facilities.

We enable delivery of parcels and postal messages to people with disabilities indicated in the Postal Law Act, bypassing the passing mailbox and without the need to collect parcels at the post office. In order to use this form of delivery of shipments, you must submit an application. The application may be submitted to a post office or directly at the postman.

The postman is required to accept from a person with disabilities, at the place of residence, a properly paid shipment by which is not a registered shipment. In order to use this form of posting, it is enough to report such a demand by phone at any post office.

Through Poczta Polska, you can also send a package using the possibility of ordering a courier who will receive it from her place of residence. Courier order can be made quickly and straight thanks to the dedicated form.

You can also shorten the service time by the courier by preparing the address sticker for the package. Just go to the website: www.poczta-polska.pl/nadaj enter the necessary data, download PDF and print the sticker. Then only the packet should be transferred to the courier and make payments.

Shipment for the blind is a shipment of up to 7,000 g, containing correspondence or prints, in which information is recorded by convex writing or on another medium available to read by the blind or blind, broadcast in a way that allows you to check the content. Shipments for the Blinders must correspond to the general conditions for letter shipments and postal packages

Pursuant to applicable regulations, shipments for the blinds issued by:

  • a person who has a decision of the competent authority of a significant or moderate disability for vision damage, hereinafter referred to as a "blind or blind person" and addressed to the library or organization of blind or blind people or to organizations, whose statutory purpose is to act for the benefit of blind or disabled people,
  • a library, organization of blind, blind people or an organization whose statutory aim is to act for the blind or blind people and addressed to a blind or blind person,
  • A blind, blind or a natural person who is not a blind or blind person, provided that the parcel contains only information fixed in a convex letter.

Poczta Polska employs nearly 1,800 people with a disability certificate in the open labor market. Most of our employees with disabilities work as postmen and in positions related to customer service and and sorting plants. Everyone finds their place in the organization and often bind their professional life with post for many years.

On May 10, 2023, the Company signed a declaration of inter -sectoral partnership, which aims to significantly increase the employment of people with disabilities. The declaration was signed by over 20 entities - companies and organizations - operating in the open labor market, in various industries and sectors of the economy. In this way, they committed to supporting the activities related to equality and prejudice labor market. Among them is, among others Promotion of employment of people with disabilities and striving to increase the employment rate for people with disabilities in Poland.

We want employees to be sure that Poczta Polska is open to people with disabilities. Direct superiors are involved in projects creating an open work environment that promotes employment and maintaining such employees in employment.

In Poczta Polska, a representative of people with disabilities was appointed, this function is performed by Joanna Nagodzka. The representative monitors projects related to the recruitment of people with disabilities in the company, cooperates with government organizations and non -governmental institutions supporting people with disabilities, he also represents the company in events related to people with disabilities and initiates activities related to the work environment. The representative also supports employees' contacts with disabilities with the employer.
