The new Polish Post depot in Radom – a step in the modernization of the logistics network
Poczta Polska (Polish Post) has opened a new depot in Radom at 17/21 Stefana Okrzei Street. This modern facility replaces the existing location and is the next step in modernizing the company's logistics network. Radom will gain more efficient parcel handling, as Poczta Polska strengthens its operational capabilities in the region.
The existing operations center on Prażmowskiego Street had only 350 m² of operating space and no loading docks for truck combinations (TIRs). The limited maneuvering area, shared with the pallet service, hindered the efficient implementation of logistics processes.
The new facility at 17/21 Stefana Okrzei Street offers a total of over 1,150 m² of modern space:
- 750 m² of warehouse hall with several gates – capable of handling approximately 30 courier vehicles simultaneously,
- 100 m² of separate zone for handling letter shipments,
- 300 m² of office and social space for employees,
- 2 transshipment docks for truck combinations (TIR) with separate entrance,
- ample parking for all operational vehicles,
- roller feeder for mechanical sorting of parcels.
More efficient deliveries for Radom residents
Concentrating all operational processes in a single location simplifies workflow and shortens parcel processing times. Postmen and couriers serving Radom and the surrounding area will be able to prepare and execute daily delivery routes more efficiently. For residents of the region, this means faster and more predictable delivery of parcels and letters.
Part of a broader logistics network modernization program
The Radom depot is part of the first phase of modernizing Poczta Polska's logistics network – a program that involves the gradual launch of temporary depots in key locations across the country. The project is being implemented by the East Logistics Region and is part of the company's long-term strategy to build a more efficient and flexible operational network.
In the coming months, it is planned to launch further courier depots, which will gradually strengthen the operational potential of Poczta Polska.
