June 17th at 5:00 PM at Głogowska 17… There couldn't be a more interesting time to meet the master of crafting a crime story filled with mystery and twists. The Polish Post invites all fans of Ryszard Ćwirlej's prose to a meeting with the author at its facility next to Poznań's Western Railway Station. The event includes a conversation, autograph signing, and a prize draw.

Please note: Admission to the meeting is free, but you must enter a special password. This password is the result of multiplying 3 times 17.

Post office bookshelves are filled with crime novels, which, according to research by the National Library, are among the most frequently read books in Poland. Among them, books by Ryszard Ćwirlej, an award-winning author at major crime fiction festivals, have recently become available. His work is valued for its vibrant, vibrant characters and skillful blend of gripping plots with insightful commentary on reality, and his books have been high on bestseller lists for years.

Author's meeting "3×17"

This Wednesday, June 17th, at 5:00 PM, an open author meeting with Ryszard Ćwirlej will begin. Poczta Polska invites you to the event at its office at 17 Głogowska Street in Poznań.

Event announcement 

During the event, you'll have the opportunity to listen to a conversation with the author, who will discuss, among other things, the behind-the-scenes story of the book series about Marcin Engel, an investigative journalist from Poznań. Attendees will also receive a literary surprise related to the main character. Ryszard Ćwirlej will not only answer questions about his writing but will also try to embody the character he created.

Postal "Culture Facility"

The "Placówka Kultura" project aims to promote reading, support Polish authors, and create spaces for direct conversations with creators. Dozens of author meetings have already been held at Polish Post offices across the country, including with Katarzyna Grochola, Justyna Jelińska, Monika Wawrzyńska, Agnieszka Lis, Katarzyna Majgier, Teresa Godlewska, Sławomir Koper, Gabriela Gargaś, Urszula Gajdowska, Wioletta Piasecka, Anna H. Niemczynow, Kasia Bulicz-Kasprzak, and Agnieszka Jeż.

The national postal operator is systematically expanding the range of books available at post offices. Most importantly, customers eagerly reach for them. In 2025, a total of 2 million copies were sold at post offices – across all categories, from new releases to classics, crime novels, self-help books, and children's publications, including activity books.
