Rafał Piątkowski
- Driver of a vehicle up to 3.5 tonnes
- Local Department of Transport
I've been working for the Polish Post Office for 10 years. First, I was a postman, then a parcel courier.
For the past seven years, I've been a driver. This is the job that suits me best.
My job is to deliver parcels, letters, and commercial goods from sorting offices to post offices. I also handle corporate mail, meaning I collect letters and parcels from companies. This isn't a job for sleepyheads. My workday starts at 5 a.m. I collect the time card, packages, and goods for delivery, check the vehicle's technical condition, and hit the road. Around noon, I visit corporate clients.
I enjoy my job because of the contact with clients. It's a chance for me to constantly learn something new. Unusual situations often arise, and we have to find a solution together.
Personally, I'm interested in sports. I cycle, swim, and go to soccer matches with my son. In my youth, I played tennis and basketball. I also enjoy tinkering. It's a hobby where the results of my work are immediately visible.

I started my career sorting courier shipments, international parcels, and oversized shipments (those exceeding standard dimensions). Later, I was the chief warehouseman, and currently I'm a shift manager, responsible for a team of employees sorting KEP shipments at the Zabrze sorting facility.
