Tomasz Nowicki
- Shift manager
- Forwarding and Distribution Department (sorting room)
I've been working at Poczta Polska (Polish Post) for six years, always in the parcels industry, so I have many personal observations from various positions. I started my career sorting courier shipments, international parcels, and oversized shipments (those exceeding standard dimensions). Later, I was a chief warehouseman , and currently I'm a shift manager, responsible for a team of employees sorting KEP shipments at the Zabrze sorting facility. Working in this position provides a comprehensive perspective on the company's logistics processes, including new solutions that streamline shipment processing, simplify work, and improve quality. These solutions benefit both employees and the company, which in turn increases its competitiveness. The sorting facility where I work is equipped with, among other things, a modern sorter.
In recent years, Poczta Polska has expanded its shipment and collection options to include additional locations, providing customers with greater benefits when choosing our company. A parcel dropped off at a customer-selected location or post office is forwarded to the appropriate logistics center, where it is processed and dispatched. then transferred to the appropriate delivery area or to a post office for delivery to the recipient. Of course, it is also possible to deliver the parcel to one of the collection points, where the recipient collects the parcel themselves. Please note that this is a very brief description of the shipment processing process from dispatch to delivery. In reality, many operations and steps must be completed before the parcel reaches the customer.
I enjoy my job because there's no monotony, I work with great people, and I'm developing. I also value Poczta Polska as a stable and reliable employer. I'm someone who enjoys helping others and engaging in social initiatives. I enjoy using my skills and abilities to help. "Szlachetna Paczka" (Noble Parcel) is one such initiative. This year, I'll be one of the volunteers delivering parcels again, with the significant support and commitment of Poczta Polska. In my free time, I also spend a lot of time with my son – I want to show him the world and teach him the things I believe are most important in life, including sensitivity to the needs of others.
