CERT Poczta Polska warns - another phishing campaign

The broad scope of Poczta Polska's operations encourages fraudsters to conduct fraudulent campaigns to obtain customer data. Recently, there have been numerous reports on social media about offers to purchase pallets of undelivered parcels and text messages requesting additional payment for shipping.

The new campaign is somewhat similar. The victim receives a text message informing them that delivery is impossible due to an incorrect address. To supposedly receive the package, the victim simply clicks a link to a form, completes it, and pays a small fee to change the address.

Of course, the linked pages are fake, and filling out the form and making the payment will result in the theft of your entire bank account. Therefore, we remind you to exercise caution online:

  • Don't open suspicious links, especially from strangers.
  • Be careful of any kind of “deals” online.
  • Verify the authenticity of any request or information received.
  • If you have been the victim of an attack, report the matter to your bank and law enforcement as soon as possible. Issues related to Poczta Polska (e.g., those using the Poczta Polska logo) should also be reported to CERT Poczta Polska, which operates 24/7, by sending a message to the following address: fakt@poczta-polska.pl .
